How Do We Persevere with Spiritual Disciplines?
What would it look like if you and I genuinely pursued godliness with the same intentionality we bring to everything else in our lives? This past Sunday, I brought our 13-week series on spiritual disciplines to a close. We've covered Bible intake, prayer, worship, evangelism, serving, stewardship, and fasting. But finishing a series on spiritual disciplines isn't really the point — the point is whether we're actually practicing them. So this week I want to leave you with something practical: how do we persevere? We Live Here, But We Don't Belong Here Before I get to the how, I want to remind us of the why. The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3 that believers, "with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
